‘Celebration of the Sky’ – Kite Festival.

Venue:The Knap Point, (above Watchtower Bay) Barry, Vale of Glamorgan.

Times: Friday June 21st from 6pm or Sunday June 23rd from 2.30pm if weather affected.

Art4U are staging a Summer Solstice event to celebrate nature’s beauty. This community collaborative artwork centers around a sculpture featured at the event called ‘Khandroma’. Khandroma means ‘Sky Dancer’ in the Tibetan tradition. The piece will be decorated with coloured flags and we invite as many members or our community including schools and clubs to craft or bring a kite to the event.

The event is free, donations warmly received.

Art4U is a voluntary arts group who aim to bring collaborative art to the public of Barry and bring people outdoors to celebrate nature. For more information on Art4u and the ‘Celebration of the Sky’ festival, please visit www.art4uwales.org.uk
