Company 6.5 Senior Theatre programme

Posted Saturday, August 3rd, 2013

Are you interested in theatre?
Did you always want to try acting but never found the right opportunity? Sherman Theatre, in partnership with the Gwanwyn Festival of Arts for Older People, is forming a new group called Company 6.5 especially for older people who would like to explore the world of theatre and drama.
Still Here.
‘Still Here’ will involve 10 older citizens working together with 10 of our younger citizens. Together we will build a labyrinth in Theatre 2 and create the different theatrical episodes that each audience member will encounter during their solo journey through the labyrinth.
During late June/July there will be a series of Saturday afternoon workshops getting to know each other and exploring what the material might be under the watchful eye of acclaimed Guest Director Iwan Brioc (the original creator of the Labyrinth experience throughout Europe) and Head of Creative Learning, Phillip Mackenzie which will culminate in an intergenerational summer school from July 22nd until August 3rd.
This is a wonderful opportunity to explore your imaginations, passions and capabilities whilst gaining new skills in an enjoyable creative environment.
