Gwanwyn 10th Birthday Party, Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff

Type of Event: Multi Art Festival

As part of Gwanwyn's official 10th birthday celebrations, Wales Millennium Centre will be hosting a day of free performances, drop in sessions and workshops from resident organizations, and a variety of craft and information stalls.

Parkour, singing, craft and music workshops will take place throughout the day.

Live Music and Dance on the Glanfa Stage:

All events on the Glanfa Stage are free, just turn up on the day.

Drop-in Pottery Workshop:
Join an exclusive workshop with Maker's Guild in Wales’ artists to perfect your pottery skills. There will be air drying clay available for you to create an individual piece of work and take your masterpiece home with you at the end of the session. This workshop will begin at 11.30am, with lunch-break at 1pm and will then re-start at 2pm.

parkour

Parkour Workshops for older people:
These workshops fuse parkour/free-running with dance and yoga for well-being, fitness and performance purposes. Here’s a way for the participants to explore and reconnect to the environment in a free, safe and structured weekly class led by qualified professionals.

The workshops will start at 11.30am – 12.30pm with an interval and will then start back again at 2pm.

Yoga with Tori:
This is a general practice for people who are reasonably mobile with a moderate level of fitness. Suitable for both beginners and those who have done yoga before. This event forms part of Gwanwyn Festival.
45 minute session. Starts at 3pm.

Fun and Wellbeing Through Yoga with Rachel Jones:
Limber your body with harmonising sequences. Stretch and strengthen through standing postures. Gain confidence and have fun with balances. Reap the rewards of relaxation of body and mind. This event is part of Gwanwyn Festival.
