Living with Pets - Workshop on Exhibiting Photographs

In a continuation of his Gwanwyn project Newport-based photographer João Bento will be running more workshops for over 50's this autummn. João is an artist photographer with an interest in animal-human relations and a community arts worker with experience delivering participatory projects.
Starting September 26, you will have the oppourtunity to work one-to-one with the artist creating exhibition prints of your pictures. Work will then be exhibited at the Riverfront, Newport during Age Positive Week (September 25 - October 2).
The theme of the workshop is ‘Living with Pets’. Pets are very good providing companionship, reducing anxiety, adding structure and routine to the day, providing sensory stress relief and encouraging exercise. They can be crucial to help find meaning and joy in life, staying connected and boosting vitality.
Workshop and exhibition are free of charges and all materials will be provided by the organisers.
